CUT and Thetis are proud to offer innovative solutions in the dynamic field of membrane filtration. PermaFlow™ solutions are comprised of robust, tubular membranes which operate through the proven benefit of cross-flow filtration. PermaFlux™ is the latest generation of ultrafiltration cross-flow membrane modules designed primarily for optimal packing density (low footprint), the highest energy efficiency (up to 90% lower than incumbent tubular) and highly competitive capital costs.
Tubular membranes are ideal for extremely high suspended solid applications and in some cases produce effluent suitable for reuse. Through optimised cross-flow filtration, these membranes are very resistant to fouling particularly when compared to conventional flat sheet or hollow-fiber submerged membranes.
Furthermore, tubular membranes are simple to operate and reduce the reliance on an operator. Through automated maintenance cleaning protocols provided by CUT and Thetis, the life of the membrane can be greatly prolonged and in some cases is as high as 15 years.
When required, pre-treatment membrane bio-reactors (MBRs) are incorporated with both PermaFlow™ or PermaFlux™. These bioreactors are typically much smaller in these systems than with other membrane applications.
Furthermore, anaerobic MBRs (AnMBRs) coupled with the latest
PermaFlux™ membranes is primarily used in the treatment of the toughest wastewater streams that include elevated concentrations of solids, fat, oil and grease.
Organics found in wastewater become a source of energy through the production of methane when treated anaerobically. This biogas is a renewable source of energy that can be used to power not only the plant but can be stored and used elsewhere.
The
PermaFlux™ technology provides the most operationally efficient solution for liquid solids separation in AnMBR applications. Conventional anaerobic digestion technologies have limitations in their ability to provide quality effluent and reliable operation.
